Week 30 & 31

I’ve been pretty good these last few weeks.  The more water I drink, the better I feel.  I’ve been having some difficulty sleeping, but not having leg cramps as long as I drink tons of water during the day.

I had a doc appt last Friday and all went well, no issues.  The nurse even confirmed what I wondered that my twitching right eye is pregnancy related…due to dehydration, fatigue or stress.  Everything else seems good with both me and the baby.  My weight keeps rising…but I’m trying not to worry too much.

The family and I went to a halloween party on Saturday night.  The kids were batman and batgirl and guess what the hubby and I dressed up as the bun maker and the bun in the oven!  It was a big hit!

Baby S.’s  movements have become wild over the last few days, with the whole belly rolling, twitching and moving!  It’s pretty incredible, and sadly, mostly happening at night.

I went on a jog with the family on saturday- a small .5 mile run around the lake and I can really see how my weight has changed my athletic ability.  Jumping around used to be easy and boy not any more!

Will post a weekly picture today or tomorrow.  Can’t believe we’re nearing the end!!! Yikes!

Oh and we start childbirth classes tomorrow night!

Love…

At our doctor’s office, they have signs all over saying DO NOT USE CELL PHONES OR VIDEO RECORDINGS…etc.  Andy never listens and he got the big time lecture today.  I thought the tech was going to walk out and not complete our scan 🙂  It was funny, but pretty ridiculous! 🙂

He weighed in at 3 lb 1 oz, and measured at about 30 weeks, so he’s right on track.  He even had hiccups during the scan.  So adorable!

So he weighed 1 lb 12 oz 4 weeks ago, so that’s a gain of 1 lb 5 oz in 4 weeks or 5 oz a week!  He’s gonna be a big one!  They say he’ll put on another 8 oz a week for the rest of the preg….EEEEK!

Week 28 – Babymoon bliss

We enjoyed a week at the Marco Ocean Beach Resort and really relaxed and had a wonderful time.  It’s hard to get either one of us away from work (always tethered by our phone/laptops) but we had a fantastic and relaxing time.

We relaxed at the beach, the pool, played golf, got massages and pedicures, danced on the beach under the stars, had a mini book club between the two of us and relished our last days of being kid-free for the foreseeable future.  We enjoyed being together, teasing each other, laughing and loving.

I truly do appreciate so much about much about my husband.  He is so kind, considerate, funny, supportive, and I can always count on him.  Throughout my pregnancy I’ve been having tons of dreams about my ex, who was pretty much the opposite and it makes me wake everyday to how fortunate I am to have found him.

We’re both so excited about the new baby and seeing each other with him.  As nervous as I am about having him, I’m calmed by the knowledge that we’ll be there for each other, supporting each other throughout the ups and downs!
